At Country Day Montessori, we strive to foster the natural love of learning and cultivate a strong sense of belonging inherent in every child. We implement traditional Montessori skills of valuing peace, respect for others, and pride in individual differences. We have created an environment at Country Day that is safe, inclusive, and welcoming of diverse cultures, races, socio-economic backgrounds and religious beliefs for all students.

Since 1980, we have provided a caring, family-oriented, engaging environment to nurture each child's potential. True to Montessori philosophy, our hands-on environment enables each student to work to their own abilities. At the same time, we provide a challenging environment that grows cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills and encourages independent, self-directed learning for life.

​We're proud of our long history in the Placerville community. We've watched Country Day alumni grow up and enroll their own children at the school.
